Susan
graduated from Florida State University in 1963 with a degree in Fine
Art. Her major was in
Painting with a minor in Art History.
Twenty years later she spent three months in London, England
updating her Art History at Sotheby’s Styles in Art course.
Susan’s work has been recognized in several regional magazines and
newspapers, including: Southern Homes Magazine, Lake Oconee Area
magazine, The Athens Flagpole, Walton Tribune, among others. She is
represented in the permanent collection of LeMoyne Art Foundation in
Tallahassee, Fla. and The National Forensic League Headquarters in
Ripon, Wisconsin. Two of her paintings have been included in National
traveling exhibitions. Her
painting “Chef “hangs in the Apple South Headquarters in Madison, GA.
Susan was commissioned to render a
painting of the Jimmy Carter
Tribute on the Capitol grounds as a gift to the Carter Center.
She has won many regional awards
and her work is collected throughout the United States. She also has a
collector in Sweden! Susan Lives in Monroe, Ga. where she teaches painting and works in her studio:
